Logistics & Common Questions
Completely normal. Most people feel some anxiety before their first session. You're about to talk to a stranger about personal stuff. That takes courage. We get it, and we'll meet you where you are. No pressure to share everything on day one.
If you're asking this question, you're probably ready. Therapy isn't just for people in crisis. It's for anyone who wants to feel better, function better, or understand themselves better. If something in your life isn't working the way you want it to, therapy can help.
It depends. Some people notice shifts within a few sessions. Others need more time to build skills and work through deeper patterns. What we can promise is that we focus on practical progress. You'll leave sessions with tools you can use right away.
Your first session is about getting to know each other. Your therapist will ask about what brought you in, what you're hoping to work on, and a bit about your background. You'll have space to ask questions too. Think of it as a conversation to see if we're a good fit.
Fit matters. The best way to find out is to meet with one of our therapists and see how it feels. If it's not the right match, we'll help you find someone who is, whether that's another clinician on our team or a referral elsewhere.
Our general office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, and Saturdays 8am-12pm. Evening and weekend appointments outside these hours may be available depending on your therapist's schedule. Once you're matched with a therapist, you can coordinate directly with them on timing that works for you.
Click the "Request Appointment" button at the top of any page. Fill out the short form, and we'll be in touch to schedule your first session. That's it.
We focus on practical skill-building. Whether you're an adult dealing with overwhelm, a parent trying to help a child with big emotions, or a teen figuring out how to cope, you'll learn tools you can use in real life. We call it the Anchoring Method, and it's designed to give you skills that last long after therapy ends. You won't just talk about your problems here. You'll learn how to handle them.
We hear this a lot. Many people have had experiences with therapy that felt like venting to a stranger who nodded but didn't really help. Our approach is different because we focus on "how to fix it," not just "why." If you want practical tools and a therapist who will actually help you move forward, this might be the fit you've been looking for.
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or don't show up, you'll be charged the full private pay session rate of $165. This fee is automatically billed to the card on file and is non-negotiable. Insurance does not cover missed or late-cancelled appointments.
Our therapists reserve that time specifically for you. If you're running late, you'll receive whatever time remains in your scheduled session.
