Therapy for adults online across Minnesota
My Story
Hi, I'm Jyoti.
If you're going through a stressful season, maybe a life transition, maybe anxiety that won't quit, maybe that stuck feeling where nothing seems to move forward, I want you to know that what you're experiencing makes sense. And it can get better.
Clients often tell me I bring a calm, consistent presence to our sessions. I balance empathy with practical strategies, offering both emotional support and tools you can use outside of therapy. I believe real progress happens through connection, curiosity, and building trust in yourself over time.
'Change is the only constant. That idea from Heraclitus has always grounded me, especially during hard seasons. It's a reminder that nothing stays the same forever, which can be both comforting and hopeful.

My Journey to Becoming a Therapist
My path to therapy grew out of a deep passion for service.
I began as a social worker supporting domestic and international adoptions, then continued my growth working with students in K-12 settings. While supporting students and families, I developed a strong interest in healthcare, which led me to expand into hospital social work and case management.
Growing up with a father who lived with bipolar disorder gave me early, firsthand awareness of how complex mental health can be, and how much it impacts not just individuals, but entire families. That experience continues to inform my empathy, my purpose, and my commitment to this work.
As my career evolved, I transitioned into direct clinical practice, providing therapy to individuals across the lifespan. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches and tailor my work to meet each client's unique needs, values, and goals.

My Professional Background
I hold a Master's in Social Work and am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. My background spans adoption services, K-12 education, hospital social work, and case management, giving me a broad perspective on how systems, relationships, and life experiences shape mental health.
My therapeutic approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. In practice, that means we work together to understand what's happening, identify patterns that aren't serving you, and build practical skills you can use in daily life.
I specialize in working with adults navigating anxiety, stress, ADHD, life transitions, and trauma. I approach every client as the expert on their own life. My role is to walk alongside you as you build insight, coping skills, and stability.

As a Therapist
Philosophies I work by
-
Therapy is relational and collaborative. Real progress happens within a trusting relationship where you are viewed as the expert on your own life. I work alongside you, not above you.
-
You are whole, capable, and resilient. Even when you're struggling, there's strength inside you. My role is to help you reconnect with it.
-
There's no one-size-fits-all approach. Effective therapy is flexible. I draw from multiple evidence-based methods to tailor treatment to your unique needs, values, and goals.
-
Context matters. Your experiences are shaped by culture, relationships, systems, and history. I approach therapy through a trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens, honoring the full picture of who you are.
-
Growth happens at your pace. Meaningful change occurs when you feel supported and ready. I value patience, curiosity, and compassion, trusting the process rather than rushing outcomes.
